About the Study

The Natural History Study

The University of Queensland is conducting a longitudinal study of young adults. The study sample comprises a random selection of young adults who were registered on the electoral roll for Brisbane or the Gold Coast. Consequently, a broad cross-section of young adults are represented in the study. The study aims to understand young adults’ decisions and perceptions about their health and alcohol and/or other drug use over a period of time.

This is the first study of its kind to be conducted in Australia.

The study is now in its 6th year. We would like to thank participants for their commitment to the study, including the time and effort involved in attending interviews and completing surveys. Your contribution is vital to the success of the study.
